Lead Cooling Technician Rental Fleet Benelux

Are you an experienced refrigeration technician with a passion for both technology and people? Do you want to play a key role in maintaining an advanced rental fleet while supporting the growth of your colleagues? Then this position at Delta-Temp, part of Atlas Copco Rental Europe, is perfect for you.

As Lead Cooling Technician , you will be the right hand of the Service Manager Cooling for the Benelux. You combine strong technical expertise with leadership and mentoring. You carry out complex repairs on cooling systems (such as chillers and heat pumps), coordinate interventions, and guide junior technicians in their development. In the absence of the Service Manager, you take over operational leadership to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on cooling systems.
  • coach and mentor junior refrigeration technicians.
  • support the planning and coordination of service interventions in the region.
  • act as operational backup for the Service Manager.
  • ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and safety standards.
  • contribute to competence mapping and training initiatives.
  • support service reporting and documentation.
  • collaborate on process improvements and digital fleet connectivity.
  • represent the service team in internal meetings.

Your profile

The ideal candidate for this role…

  • holds a technical degree or equivalent experience in refrigeration/HVAC.
  • possesses a valid refrigeration certificate (F-gas).
  • has at least 5 years of hands-on experience with industrial cooling systems.
  • speaks fluent Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
  • is a true team player with a passion for coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • works proactively, is customer-focused, and has strong organizational skills.
  • is familiar with digital tools and service software (ERP, MS Office, Cloud).
