Air handling units can be used for mechanical ventilation. Thus, fresh outside air can be actively blown into a room. Our airhandlers are powerful fans that can be used for free cooling provided the appropriate conditions are met. Mechanical ventilation is used to replace the warm indoor air with cold outdoor air. Examples are factory halls or work studios where temperatures rise during hot summer days. At night, when the outside temperature drops, our air handling units can be used to blow the cold outside air into the room to lower the temperature.

In active cooling, we use our airhandlers in combination with our chillers. The chiller makes ice water and this is fed through water hoses to the airhandler. Here the air is cooled and blown into the room. Depending on the size of the room to be cooled, the required cooling capacity is determined. Here one is not dependent on the outside temperature, but cold air is continuously blown into the room. So even during hot summer you control the temperature where you want it.
In addition to cooling, our airhandlers can also be used for heating. A mobile boiler is then connected instead of a chiller or ice water machine. This boiler heats the water to 90 °C, after which the hot water is fed to the air handling unit. In the air handling unit, the air is heated and then blown into the room. Thus, you provide thermal comfort for your employees, customers or visitors during the cold winter days.
