With summer approaching and temperatures rising, a loyal customer, a large glass manufacturer in Wallonia, knocked on Delta-Temp's door once again. Their goal? To be ready for the hot summer months and ensure that both their production line and their employees continue to function optimally.
When making glass, the temperature rises considerably. Sand, soda, lime and glass fragments are melted in a furnace that reaches as much as 1700°C. The liquid glass is then poured over a layer of tin, where it cools gently and turns into a perfect sheet of glass. With so much heat in play, extra cooling in the summer is not a luxury, but a must. It not only keeps the quality of the glass high and production running, but also provides a comfortable working environment for employees. Win-win!
Thanks to our long-standing cooperation, our product manager immediately knew what this glass manufacturer needed. Delta-Temp went to work and installed a modern EVO chiller with a cooling capacity of 500 kW, supplemented by four powerful air treatment cabinets. In this way, we kept both the workspace and the production process nice and cool. Of course, we also arranged everything around it: buffer tanks, water hoses, power cables - you name it. Our team of refrigeration engineers ensured quick delivery and smooth installation. Before they knew it, the temporary cooling installation was running at full speed.
The result? A satisfied customer who goes into summer with peace of mind. Employees work in a pleasant indoor climate, and production continues to run smoothly - even when the first heat wave arrives. Comfort and process cooling in one fell swoop: mission accomplished!
